CRO8 Bipolar (III) Inmate From: New York City Insane since: Jul 2000	posted 08-02-2002 14:56 This morning I was driving to work and for some reason began to question the difference between programming languages and their scripting siblings- such as Java and Javascript, VB and VB Script. Much of it's similarity to Java come from it's syntax, which isn't suprising since they were both developed by Sun (JS in partnership with Netscape) however Javascript was always written to extend scripting functionality to web pages and browsers as opposed to Java which was developed as a multi-platform compiled (well half compiled ) programming language. .:[ Never resist a perfect moment ]:.
