Hmm, didn't come out exactly as I hoped, but I still like it. Crits?

so i would make it all darker
and slow it down some if you can
otherwise, i like it

If I slow it down it'll get much jerkier, unless of course I add more frames in which case it'll get a lot bigger. I dunno about makin' the whole thing darker, maybe I'll try a different color for the name.

Ok, got rid of the scan lines, i think that helps the readablitiy. I doubled the frame rate to make it go slower and smoother. I think it works, but now its already 25kb and thats at 32 colors!!! (i was hopin' for 64) Does anyone know where in image ready the animation optimization settings are? Stuff like repeat pixels from last frame and such? So what do you guys think I should do, cut the frame rate in half again and up the colors to 64 or keep it as is. ... ... or if you got another idea I'm game

I believe it's already optimized to the maximum Shitzoboy.

Personally, I think it would be better if you removed all the white parts, and the dark border around your name and made it transparent. It would be more easily redable, and would lighten the file a bit. Perhaps you should remove the second dark border too.

MS: This image is gonna serve double-duty as a sig and a 88x31 button so I can't really play with transparency. As for IR already being fully optimized, i had a bad feelin' about that. Truth is I don't know my way around IR too well though so I had to ask. Anyone got some better color optimization ideas then?

I like it alot! I wouldn't play with the optmization as there is a lot of banding already. I have to agree with people's comments about the color of your name. You may have to bite the bullet and go with straight black for the lettering and drop the stroke just to ensure legibility.

Brought the colors back up to 64 and then upped the lossyness and its not .4 kb smaller Not bad considering the banding much less noticable.
