Mah Pixel paint brush!



Would love any thoughts on makin em bettah.

I painted him (or is it a her?) for a webpage interface for a friend... pretty quick, thought yo! this could be a siggah.

maybe a drop shadow? seems a tad bit bright. dunno... bed calls.

i like it...though would think it would look cool if ya could see paint on the brush itself... ya know what i'm sayin?
also...where the red ends it seems to be raised too much there.
either way though... i like it.

I agree. Maybe with some paint dripping off the brush.

Other that, great job, Izzy. I like the texture in the wood. Pretty neat.

could break those high-highlights up a lil, more squiggley, less flat. the ambiant light (underneath towards the end) is a tad bright. the wood just rocks man, really nice - if you want a challenge burn your name in the end =D

Nice idea but I think it would look pretty cool if you took the pixel part farther. That is make the paint driping from the brush pixilated as if youwere actually painting graphics and pixels not just dripping paint. I think juxtaposing an old fashioned brush painting something futuristic would be cool.

But hey, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

If you look really closely, there is a glob of brown paint on the brush... Maybe making it look smoother and adding a little bit of a shine?

What font are you using? Or did you do that by hand? I've been looking for one like that.

That font looks likes silkscreen. or if it's just that look you're after, then search the web for some other freeware "pixel fonts".

metal dealio's whack, var nice tho overall I must say, reminds me of my cracking lonely brushes away in the garage under a pile a crap somewheres =[

Yup, the matal could use some touch ups, and the reflections on the finger end could conform more. Nice one.
I also like Jung`s pixel idea.
But that brush covers WAY more than a pixel.

yah, that was a pretty quick hack... i didnt spend hardly any time in the metal... mostly the brush bit and the wood.

I will definatly work on this more... great ideas bouncin around in here!

How about making it orange paint?

Yeah... a different color than brown... Brown doesn't show up too well against... brown... o.o But don't make it anything outlandish that'd screw it up.

Ahh, the metal part looks a bit better now. I still think the paint should be a brighter color, but ah well, it's fine!

still missin that shine on the paint glob. Like it much better though. I think its neat how you put the rust on the metal part and the thin plasticy part on the end broken off. Gives it a rustic look... Very nice. <(^.^)> <(^.^< ^(^.^)^

Never seen a modernish brush with what looks like a knarled oak handle, but I like the wood a lot.
