on my innaugural run as a mad scientist, i archived out 5 pages from the /ozone/ forum. *ahem* perhaps this needs to be done more often?

I think it would be groovy to have .pdf copies of the archived pages.... will that ever be an option?


If you guys don't have the ability to create them... I do. I would be more than willing to help create them.

I've archived countless pages.........but it *has* been a little while. I'm sure I can mange a bit of ot after work................

pdfs are gargantuan in comparison to the size of an html file. bad mojo there, i imagine.

Wow! Wow ow wow! I thought something was broken, I was scarmbling all around, what had happened? Thanks twItch^, what a c*****nload of work you pulled off! I'm going to bet though, that you probably archived some things that didn't really need saving, eh? What I usually hope for is to archive all of the really good posts, those that have something we might refer back to, and then I can use the big back-end admin tool to do a "purge by date" for all items older than a certain date. (Shame I can't do an auto archive this same way, wouldn't that be nice!) Congratulations on this one, I think you just earned the award for most threads ever archived, amazing! Now head on down to the Mad Scientists lounge, we've got some *hilarious* security videos you just gotta see!

my judgement may be flawed, doc; i didn't archive *everything* and i did throw out *some*, but personally, i would've thrown out a lot more if i had my way with the threads. heheh

but seriously, though, thanks for the opportunity to give back a little more than snide commentary to the asylum. it's a real pleasure and honor to have it bestowed upon me.
