Well in chronological order

AC/DC - Absolute favourite! Old Fart Metal
Boy Hits Car - Alternate Metal
Children of Bodom - Death metal
Iron Maiden - Heavy Metal I'd guess!!?
Nightwish - Synth Metal
Ozzy Osbourne - Done to much crack Metal
Pantera - Thrash Metal
Sepultura - I think its Thrash Metal
Slayer - Very Thrash Metal

My Hate list
poop - Crap Music but if its old its is better
(Ooops i accedently put an extra 'o' in pop. But really it doesn't matter it's the same shit anyway, heh! )
Commercial Heavy Metal - If you listen to this you probably listen to Britney Spearms too.
Heavy poop - such as linkin park and other crap that doesn't deserve to be on the surface of this planet.
All other music except the metal genre. hmm...you don't think I'm being narrow sighted , nah I didn't think that either

I want to thank everyone who replied to this thread. Not a single one of you said Dave Mathew's Band and I say AMEN to that. There is no album at Sam Goodie's that is a worthless and crappy as a DMB cd.

To those of you who would raise the incoherant talent-less thrash garbage of heavy metal bands above such genius as Linkin Park/Incubis/Hoobastank (you know who you are) - I will say a prayer tonight in pity of your souls. (Doesn't mean I think any less of you as artists tho. And ya ya you got a right to love and hate what you want. But Ozzie? ::blech:

I enjoy a variety of bands and songs. Queen, U2, Billy Joel, mostly. I also like several nice-sounding pieces from Fatboy Slim and Alien Ant Farm.

As far as comedic songs go, Denis Leary's Asshole, Tenacious D's Tribute and Weird Al Yankovic's Livin' La Vidi Yoda would have to take the cake.

Right now I'm listening to these the most:

Radiohead
Pink Floyd (always on the top of the list along with the Doors)
The Faint (if you can find 'em download Conductor and Agenda Suicide by them)
David Bowie (I bought his new CD and its pretty decent. The bonus disk is better though)
Teenie bit of Zero7

When I'm in more of a rock mood I go for

Metallica always!!!
Misfits (The new famous monsters CD)
Tool is decent I'll admit
and the classics a la Blue Oyster Cult, Zepplin etc.

And when I wanna mellow out:

Sublime
Radiohead again
Tom Petty
Bob Dylan
Some downbeat techno stuff like The Orb, Robert Miles, and maybe a tad bit o' Portishead

There is of course a TON more that I listen to but these are the ones that make the list (even though it is a pretty big list)

well well well, grab most of your tunes, chuck 'em in a blender, and that's pretty much what i like.
..with the exceptions of supah heavy stuff, and the ordinary 'top 40' stuff, i enjoy most music.
my influences are pretty wide - if hal and bacharach wrote it, there's a fair chance i know most of the words to it.
and i admit that unashamedly.
for today's music, i listen to JJJ, australia's, if not the world's greatest radio station.
let's see, i enjoy brad, ben harper, cruel sea, tea party, morcheeba, the vines, the strokes, the avalanches, fatboyslim, and well.. anything.

music is fantastic.

I like a lot of bands, but TOOL is by far the most I have ever liked, so if I like TOOL more than any other band, that must mean TOOL is my favorite.

No other band has reached out to me like TOOL has. Well maybe NIN, but thats a little different.

**checks cup, puts on helmet**

Tool = **yawn**

The first three albums were good but they've gotten boring. Same stuff - another $14.95.

Favorites- The Clash, Bob Marley, War, The Specials, Rage Against the Machine, Mystikal, Outkast, The Roots, Jean Dupri, Wyclef Jean.

Bugs: They probably don't give a damn about lil' young me. But they care about their fans, and they adore fan support.

Tiki: I disagree, Lateralus is different from the first three but in a good way, it is a very good album and I loved seing them in concert playing it.

Bill Laswell and I won't list what he's in because the list would be too long....I think that Axiom has most of his work listed.
