What do you do in an attempt to cure yourself of a cold? Any kinda cold'll do....

I don't do anything because I don't believe there is any cure for a cold. However, I understand there is evidence that a combination of zinc/vitamin C lozenges can reduce how long it lasts. What do you do?

there are drugs and suppressants that... well... cover up and suppress you symptoms... but they do nothing for the cold, in fact they hinder your bodes defenses... well... they *do* have a time and a place... like I said, sleep is important? so if you cant sleep at night then take something so you can... but stay off the drugs when you are awake... except for over the counter pain killers, if they are needed.


                                   

I'm always partial to a stiff shot of Bourbon on an 'as needed' basis...

garlic

so far I've:

slept a lot,

drank orange juice, apple cider, hot teas, bourbon,

ate lots of chicken noodle soup,

ran my vaporizer,

rubbed Vicks Vaporub on my chest,

used my heating pad on my chest,

taken hot sit baths,

taken my Vitamin C,

but still I keep hacking so hard a hairball is bound to come out sooner than later....

what about the Llama porn..... thats what its all about, try it .... *turns on the discovery channel and instantly feels better*

You know, if your sinuses are congested, a small drop of horseradish will clear them right up. Trust me on this.

The best thing to do is to try and get some rest. Lack of sleep majorly depresses the immune system.

my cold is predominantly in my chest cavity....maybe I'll rub some horseradish on my chest...

I fight it with every part of my being. I hate being sick. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. It's rare though, when a cold lays me flat. I've found that convincing my body to just get over it works better than any remedy...

Sickness, esp. colds, really get me in a cold rage.

To where it is warm...less colds...hehe...

You guys need Vics Vap-o-Rub (any aussie will know what this is...dunno if it's sold elsewhere)...othing better for clearing a congested chest and nose. Hot Lemon tea, and hot (non-alcoholic) apple-cider...mmmm....very nice.

Also mulled wine, steep herbs in wine, heat it and drink it.
