There is an image I have in a Power Point file. I would like to work with that image in an Illustrator file. The problem is that when I drag and drop that PP image into Photoshop or directly into Illustr., the outline of the image appears as if anti-alias was turned off! All choppy. . .

This is thread is related to this post http://www.ozoneasylum.com/Forum18/HTML/000022.html I am trying to follow Twitch's suggestion of exporting power point image as BMP > open up in Photoshop > save as psd > open up in Illustrator. I am not clear on how to accomplish the first step: export PP file as BMP. I tried "save as" but BMP is not an option.

Any ideas

Much appreciated.

I don't think you're going to find that you can export as a bmp and have antialiasing...I'm not sure...I don't know much about that mode...Do this please, post the file or email it to me, so I can see what we're working with here....

Maybe it has to do with the version of PP you are using. I just created a simple slide and went to file-save as and I had the bmp option ... If you have an older version, you might just be screwed?? Dunno what else to tell you. Maybe send the file to me and I'll save it has a bitmap for you?

I got it. Well, half way there.! What I did: opened PowerPoint and doubleclicked on the desired image > Image automatically opens in Photoshop as PSD, even antialiased! > made modifications (size, color) > the dragged into Illustr. Whew! What I have left is a clear image.

Now, of course, I have 2 more problems to overcome.
1) Using Photoshop, I am trying to match CMYK color I have in Illustrator file. Can't get it to match correctly. Am I doing something wrong. I opened a thread [a href="http://www.ozoneasylum.com/Forum3/HTML/001664.html]here[/a] explaing my problem. I am combing thru my PS manual looking for a solution.

2) Image appears fine when viewed in Illustr., but prints out anti-aliased.

Any ideas?

many thanks. As you may have guessed I am learning Illutr. and beginner/intermediate in PS.
