You wanna do a knockout, you need to make sure that areas of color overlap by doing a "choke" or a "spread". In the case of type, a choke. |

Hell of a first post! I can remember when we used to have to do our chokes and spreads on a big overhead vacuum table, on film, blast with the light (at a certain number of seconds, depending) onto a new piece of film, shooting through a few sheets of clear acetate (also depending, heh.) Anyone else remember those days? In many ways it was easier than doing it with a computer, you could visiualize in your head exactly what was going to happen, and it did! |
