Well, I think the top one is better for clarity. The bottom one, would work much better if the text were anti-aliased.

But as for a sig, well it is much too large for a sig. Doc wrote a major reply on the giant sig topic, which now appears to be gone.

Doc recommended around a 20 * 80 for a sig, and also recomended that it blended with the background. Now a 35 * 200 may allow you a bit more creativity, but much larger than that and it will just be too much for a sig. You don't want to have a sig that is bigger than some of the art you want to have critiqued.

With a sig it is quality over quantity. Get a few really sleek effects into a small space, and then you will have a good sig.

I like the top one as well. But Warmage is right, it is kinda big. Hmmmm.... I wonder if mine is too big. Maybe I'll make a new one if I have the time.

the first one looks better than the second one.. take that for whatever you want it to.

oh yeah, my signature is the largest one allowed on the board. your signature most conform to that fact and be smaller than mine. thank you, drive through, muahaha...

Hah hah! I remember when I was working back at my old ISP Visi. Someone was asking me how much traffic was cool to have, at what point did it become abuse of service? Well, by definition, as soon as you get more traffic than I do, it's abuse. (This was our official policy for quite some time, no fooling!)

Mikey, your sig works OK, but it's all transparent to the background, blends in nicely. Maybe a bit tall for my taste, but well within bounds. The trick with a sig is to brand youself without going over the top, if you're gonna post a lot, keep it simple, we'll know who you are! <g>

Oh yeah. I like the first one best. Try losing the top and bottom flourishes, and drop the text onto this brownish background, it'll blend in nice. Maybe a bit smaller, too? Your call, if it's too much, people will talk. (We're not a shy bunch!)

I'm not gonna post anymore...I just realized this is "Photoshop" and I use Paint Shop Pro...oh well.

U did that with PSP??? Dear lord you need to get your hands on photoshop, else you are wasting such raw talengt!!!
