hey now that one I like. except for the yellow....it looks kinda pukey

I'm thinking the wings should look a bit more transparent and delicate, and a tad less pukey

Nice detail on the armor stuff

I agree, very nice work on the armor. I dont mind the yellow wings so much, it kind of reminds me of a butterflu I think the design would be better and more practical if they werent there though. While it looks fine with them there, I think it would look even better without them,

Hmm... perhaps use some airbrushing to put insect-esque detail to the wings and change them to a silvery, transparent texture... As far as what goes behind, I'd say just a single color gray... I am not a big fan of textured backgrounds.

mmm i like the design and the colors too
I only would make the armor-thing les shiny.
Because i think it's a little bit like plastic. But don't listen to me when you think it's good.

i think it looks real good, the only thing that i would do is maybe add alittle bit of texturing to the wings.

Wow I was just thinking, that armor thing would make a great tutorial for the Gurus Network. You should consider writting one ...

Hey, I like the armour! it reminds me of a roman breast plate or something. I agree with Jestah, you should consider writing a tutorial for the Gurus network.
Just a small thing about the wings, is there any way you could make them look more like insect wings? Make the very light and transparent, with the vien things running through them? Just a thought.
Excellent work

Wings done by a mosquite wing template.
a green tone will work? gimme ur idea.
and bg inspired by the sand texture tut from Gurus Network.
the work will be included in my book of "Photoshop 6 Web Design Magic ". so i am afraid ... but i will write one similar 4 Gurus one day i got free. u got my promise!

that looks damn cool avatar. i think the "armor" may need to look sort of beat up with a bg like that, maybe some scratches or dents or something.....

how did you get one of your tutes in "Photoshop 6 Web Design Magic ". or is that *your* book? so many questions, please give details....

Photoshop 6 Web Design Magic is my personal project for Hope Publishing House located Beijing. I am the only author of that book, yes iam working alone. if u guys can read chinses, no problem u can read my book. yes, iam a Chinese, and my book will be in Chinese, of course. maybe an English version, then which publish house will cooperate with me?

You said that you got the background from the Sand Texture tute at the GurusNetwork. It's actually the Rock Texture tute. If you go to the GurusNetwork and into the tutorials section. Look under photoshop and you will see a tute labelled Rock Texture. Go into it. It will say Rock On! and the author will be Me...Skaarjj.

Ask any of the GurusNetwork guys, like Doc, Pugzly, Steve, Slime, F1_error, DL-44, any of them, they all know that I made it...why, where you going to put it into your book or something?

sincerely apologize 4 the tur matter.
cuz of the buffer file stored within my win, my brower showed me the old version of this pic and then was no bg at all, i think u mean something else.
Ur tut on rock texture did help me out for the bg and it really works with the armor and insect wing stuff. but i think naming ur tut as "Sand Texture" will be better. anyway again heartily apologize and thank u 4 ur cool tut.

I like the whole thing... how did you do the armor? Was there a tutorial? Only thing I would do is dirty or dust up the armor to make it look more organic or like it's been in nature.

what i am doesn't matter...it's what you are that does

And os it keeps growing and growing and growing...what, is it supposed to be web site interface or something, cause there are several good ways you could use that as one.

I like it a *lot*! The light green goes well with the silver armor. I would have chosen a different color background, something darker I think.

The thing looks like a cross between a plant and bug. Me likes bugstuff

When will you have the interface up for us all to see?

It's having babies! Kind of reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors when Audrey II starts sprouting back-up singers.

I like it...crosses the technological with the organic. Nice work.

Keep the green in the wings, but something looks very odd to me about the background... The way the shoots blend into it somehow. And the edges of the interface I think could use some darkening...make them round off a little more into the distance, so to speak.
