Hey doc. I was just wondering what program you use to create your pages. It was just one of those random thoughts on a rainy day.

Anyone else who wants to post their prefered editor, your inout is welcome. I personally use Dreamweaver for simple HTML pages, and 1st page 2000 for everything else like scripts, and more complex pages.

Please don't get fustrated with me! Always keep in mind that i'm 'Slow to learn, and quick to forget'

Any text editor will do; notepad, wordpad, Note Tab Pro is what I prefer to use. It's all about control.

Tho I've had some clients who request (for whatever reason) that the site be built using Dreamweaver, 1st Page 2000 (a great freeware editor BTW), Microsoft Word, etc.. I usually charge more because of the headaches these produce.

I'm going to be using Adobe GoLive soon. I've never seen it. I've used Dreamweaver and other editing programs... I am interested in seeing what this has to offer. I'll let you know! If anyone has experience with this software, tell me what you think of it.

Well I use Dreamweaver and Notepad. I started using Dreamweaver for my last site and it turned out pretty good. I must say I like it. Anyway I think its time to turn this into a Third Party topic ...

Yes, we average this topic once a week or so......and like DG said, it usually transmogrifies into "Eyecandy or no?"

I use eNotepad -- like notepad but with color-coding, multiple file support and an "explorer" interface if you want it.

I used to use notepad, but my eyes suck and I need color coding, plus the multi-file thing rules.

OK, BBEdit for the Mac, and HomeSite for the PC. Those are really the *only* editors I use for HTML and Javascript.

Homesite of course... I like being able to drag text and search and replace an entire folder tree in one stroke. Frontpage 2000 for those freaky tables, then cut and paste it back into Homesite.

I use HotDog. Gives me the ability to edit like in notepad but also has lots of little shortcuts to appease my laziness.
