Does anyone know a good way to print web pages consistently? Flash never seems to print well, and background images and color often don't make it. Trusting a browser to print is frustrating.

I've tried screenshots, but they are somewhat pixelated.

As we need printed examples for our corporate portfolios and displays, I was hoping some of you had tackled this problem before.

Load your web page. Press the print screen key on your keyboard. Go into photoshop, open up a document that matches your screen resolution, ctrl+v to paste and enjoy.

Actually when you open a new document in Photoshop, in my experience, it sets the dimensions automatically to the dimensions of whatever is on your clipboard.

Alright, thanks for your help.

Now I have a new problem. The colors are off! Grr. My co-worker has a Mac running basically the same printer driver and his prints come out very nicely. However, my prints are way too red. What is wrong with my settings?

{edit}

Ok, I just "restored defaults" on my printer driver setup and it fixed the problem.

Nuts. I thought this was going to be another case of the natural superiority of Macs

Hey guys, good tip on the screen capture. What do you do when you can't get the whole page in one capture!

Yeah, Steve. I was tickled pink when Adobe put that command into their products. Now I have a seven-foot monitor. It's really helped me in my design purposes.

Steve,
2 ideas, one is change the resolution of your monitor while you take the screen grab.

Most PC video cards will let you do this on the fly these days.

Other than that you can always take a couple of screen grabs of different areas of the page and do a little work in PS to line everything up and create one doc. Its a little work but really shouldn't be that difficult.

if its not printing everything(like pics) then look in your options. IE disables printing pics by default(I think)

Petskull: Now wouldn't that be nice!!!!

Usually if you bought one of the earlier versions of Photoshop in the 90 days before a new version is released, or up to six months after the new verion is released, you can get a free upgrade. Otherwise, you have to pay about $175.00 - $200.00 for the upgrade.
