So how many of you get e-mail regularly like the one I got today?

"Dude. A life...get one."

I probably get at least one of these a week. Usually in reponse to one particular area of my site that I haven't touched in almost a year. (I guess they think all I do is work on those pages all day long.)

What I think is funny is that I make money with what I do (not to mention the exposure in magazines and on national TV), yet they are the ones with the time to bother writing pointless e-mail to people who spend their time creatively.

I guess I just don't understand the motives of these losers who feel the need to berate people who create for the Web rather than simply surf it mindlessly all day.

Oh, yeah, I like to go around and send people email like that, for fun. Hope I didn't offend you or anything.

Hah, just kidding... that's gotta be annoying. Glad I don't get stuff like that. I've seen your work, you're good at it. It seems that many people think if you're good at something, and it's related to computers, then you're a loser. Don't worry about it.

'sticks and stones' and all that jazz.. who cares what you do as long as you like doing it! People who send email like that should take alook in a mirror more often instead of spreading their negativity me thinks!

Who doesn't have the life? ..... not you. You're the one that produces teh things they look at.

I wouldn't worry about it... after you make your first couple million and you're sittin' back in a lounge chair behind your mansion next to your inground, olympic size pool and your maid has just served you the tastiest bloody mary ever created, they'll still be sending people these e-mails. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/tongue.gif">

don't let it bother you. It was probably just some guy with no life reaching out to you anyhow. Your biggest fan, a stalker maybe. I generate absolutely no email from my site so you've succeeded in making me sad now Wes, thanks buddy. Hah! Actually if you put your site out there like yours is, I doubt that crap will ever stop flowing. Just enjoy it, it sounds like fun reading.

The e-mail doesn't really get under my skin all that deep. I just can't understand why people tend to be so rude. I guess it's like getting behind the wheel of a car. It's so easy to harbor hate for anonymous drivers around you when you would never act the same way face to face.

Loser or not, I have fun creating such weirdness on my site. And it has secured more than a couple jobs for me, acting as a live portfolio. Like the saying goes, "Screw 'em if they can't take a joke."

BTW, thanks for the kind words, everyone. I wasn't even sure most of you had even looked at my site. I'd be curious if any of you have taken a look at my newest bit weirdness, Televangelist Bingo.

i get e-mails about my sites sometimes too, usually they're nice ones from girlies though =D

Wes, I have a priceless video of this guy that my youth minister made and he edited in fart noises whenever he makes those funny faces. You have video editing gear do you not? Cool, I'm glad everyone likes TB! (Haven't heard from anyone who's actually played it yet, though. But I guess I can't complain, I haven't officially played it myself.)

I thought about creating an area where I post all my hate mail, but I figured that would just encourage people to write in more just to make it on the page. Perhaps I should add a guest book, though. Maybe two...one "way to go" guest book and another "you blow" guest book. Keep a tally of which gets more entries.

JK - I've seen that Tilton fart tape before, it's hilarious. Makes me wonder if your youth minister was having you on, though, because it's a pretty famous underground tape. But, who knows, maybe he was actually the guy who made it - somebody had to! I just remember seeing it for the first time in a lecture hall on a 15-foot screen for a religion class. Absolutely hysterical.

Shit, first time i looked threw Wes' site. Oh man do i have to ditch the Girlfriend and lock myself in a room with the computer for a few years. I feel like I have waisted the last 10 years of my life. Where the heck is my talent? :-(
