Just out of curiosity, where do all of you get your skins and wallpapers?

I use mainly http://www.skinz.org

Any other good ones?

I make all mine I can't bear to look at a winamp skin that someone else made, if I could just as easily make one of my own.

The only other ones I use are from other friends of mine, or ones from people I have conversed with via email and know personally (people in the industy).

Well hell if I thought I could make a car in my backyard I might even do it, too I looooove customization. My biggest problem is that photoshop is the only medium I can ever see results in, so I seek customization refuge in it's hallowed walls...

I do visit skinz.org for ideas and such though. Lately Ive been making interfaces for software programs, and some of the skin designs are good inspiration since they have a certain amount of funtionality that needs to be there. (on most anyways).

When it comes to winamp, windowblinds, lightstep, and other computer customizations I really do try to make my own whenever possible, or at least use ones my friends have made. It makes me feel like therre's some meaning there.

Heck, maybe I'm just a stuck up design asshole. who knew?

Well, I'd love to do everything my own way and customize the hell out of everything. Unfortunately, annoying things like life and school keep intruding.

Sometimes, you have to seek the midpoint.

I'll make it if I have the time and if I can be arsed, but if not I'll get it from the web and whatnot.

Hey guys...how about someone come up with a tutorial for creating skins....in the past I've downloaded the skin making stuff and wasn't quite sure how to use what I was givin....

I accidently typed www.skins.org in at school, and it was skin city so to speak. I fund that funny since cyber proxy won't let people at my school go on aol.com, but i can get nudy pics. Weird, but it has potentual.
