Trixter and I asked about icon producing - does anybody have tricks/tips/hints/solutions for that? How do you make them, how do you store them, how do you use them? Do you have to include them in some weird kind of .dll-file?

Oooh ooh DG taught me this one.

Create a transparent bitmap in PS then rename with .ico at the end.

Yep..bitmaps can be used as one size .ico files.

if you want to package files with 16, 32, and 48 px versions though, try Easy Apps, or Microangelo.

Vogonpoet - Thanks, the desktop is very special to me.

The Lord of the Rings also is near and dear to my heart. I however, will go see the movie.

Can anyone tell me how to do it? The print icon is non-active (perhaps because I don't have a printer!!!)
Is there another way???

OUCH Docile Bob!!!! I hope you never have a hang-over and use that desk top! lol..

Weadah: laffed my socks off at that.. way too funny...

Malinese: cool image. but you rally should get more sleep! heh

*******

Freya: on your keyboard.. well at least on a PC k/board towards the upper right there you should see a 'printscreen' key. Get yuor desktop arranged as you like, and then push that key up there. Now in most graphics progs you can open a new document and then goto to the edit option and paste into the new doc. With photoshop when youhit the new image, it should size that new image to whatever res your screen is i.e. 1024x768, etc. Then Edit paste.

Hope that does it for ya

My boyfriend took a screen shot of our desktop and saved it as a .doc file, now how do I post it here, on the forum?

Humongous thread! have continued it at the following URL
http://www.OzoneAsylum.com/Forum1/HTML/001058.html

I reposted your question at the top of the new thread Freya... as far as I know you would have to post a link to the .doc file... when you say .doc?.. do you mean as in Word doc or as in a graphic? hmmmm....

ok.. carry on ... next thread please!
