I would but:
a. I'm working a contract gig so the desktop is this default company logo that I haven't bothered to change
b. I don't have FTP access here

Imagine a boring gray desktop with an energy company logo and icons for Flash and Photoshop and you'll get the idea...

I'd do that screen shot with icons and all, but my desktop stys really cluttered, with save files I've been working on, .pdf files I need to read, movies I've been watching on and off, etc.. Trust me when I say that my desktop isn't cool. It's much better without the clutter.

OMERA, you've made an excellent choice for HTML editor!

Well... don't ahve much to offer here either.
Simple, "stock" wallpaper..... and I do the same F1 mentioned.... I save files all over my desktop when I'm working.... usually just naming them random letters. Often times I'll have about 20 or so swf files on there. I haven't really gotten much done so far this evening... I only got home from work a little while ago... and I'm just kinda looking some things over before I do anything really....

Omera - I think it's interesting that you tried to do something like dreamless.org and yet, no one understood. I applaud your efforts.

It's an interesting study, and thank you all for completely ignoring the request...It's nice that you showed what your desktops looked like, now try taking an actual screenshot.

-I'm sure it is an interesting study... but I don't think people are ignoring the request. "Ignoring" implies intentional disregarding.... I don't think anyone is intentionally doing this... just a simple misunderstanding that may have been brought on by the original post....

I can see how that may have mis-lead people to think that he was looking for their wall paper images.
His second post... (and I'm stretching it here) could have been interpreted as sarcasm (why, I don't know).
As you can see, I posted mine there... if a few more people do it, other's will take notice.
For instance, you being another person who understood, could have posted yours. (although you may be at work or not have the means readily available)

I don't do anything.

I put the Photoshop in the taskbar after so it wouldn't look so bad.....of course I had to open Photoshop to do that..so it was counterproductive.

This is an actual screenshot. The only thing I changed was the size of the window. I usually maximize everything and use alt-tab to switch back and forth rapidly.

Hey, I really enjoyed reading this post, trouble is I'm at work so can't post my own till I get home tonight.
One question, how do you create the realy cool destop icons, are they made by yourselves, if so what format must they be in and what do you have to name them and where to store them etc. I would love to design some of my own.

I guess you can't see anything of my desktop background though, since it is all covered up.

So here is that as well.
It is not very interesting, I guess, but I think it is useful when doing webdesigns and to be able to at least get some idea of what a page will look like in different resolutions.
