Actually for the longest time I thought my mouse wouldn't work on white backgrounds then I realized I had a white cursor ... go figure.

My advice? What color cursor do you have and what color background do you have

Seriously though, occationally it happens to me. Im running Win98. Not just on the net tho, all over the place, mostly Napster actually.

Sometimes my mouse disappears. Its crazy. I think the little fucker runs into a hole in the wall somewhere. Its tough for him to disappear when he's right under my hand though.

Sometimes my cursor disappears on a similar background though.

uneek, thats what happens to me. The mouse moves around invisibly but there is still the cursor pic stuck in one place.

i have a black cursor with a white outline, so it won't dissapear cause of backgrounds.

Just in the last couple of days my cursor is freezing up all over the place. If I click on the down arrow to scroll the browser window, It sometimes just keeps scrolling even after I have stopped holding down the button. Just moving the cursor from one place to another on the screen is a painful experience. Not to mention the fact that Image Ready was unmercifully slow yesterday. I ran the defrag and that seems to have helped a little, but I'm still not really happy with what's going on with it. My whole system suddenly seems to need to think about everything just a little too long before it does it. If any body has any cures for this, I'd love to hear them.

Hey, have tried reloading the mouse.sys file or the drivers for your mouse? MS does a shitty job on drivers and they corrupt.

My mouse cursor stuck on the screen once. I think it was chewing on the page cause every time I go to that site, I can see a teeny dot where it shouldn't be...crap, wait, no that's on my monitor

*Whew*

For those of you who have Norton 2000, I just ran the optimization wizard. It optimizes your registry, and your windows swap file. My system seems to be fine again, no sticky mouse pointer or anything.
