Why don't you d/l it yourself and find out, since its you that is going to be using it, not Mr.Max(even if he did write it).

yeah, why don't you, huh? huh?

oh...I mean, um nevermind.......

never used homesite....used max's editor - it was pretty nifty. I don't use it, just because I don't find much use for html editors personally....the big thing I want when writing html is color coding. Max's has color coding, but not the way I like it (I am a very picky bastard). I use enotepad (from edisys - http://www.edisys.com ).

So, that doesn't answer your question, and I'm not max, but that's my 2cents

Acidbox, IMO you can't compare HTML Beauty with HomeSite for one simple reason and that is because HTML Beauty is completely free while HomeSite isn't. So, in that field HTML Beauty always wins! As far as features are concerned, I would like to point out that HTML Beauty has auto-updating code snippets (you can add a bunch of HTML code by a touch of a button and you can also update it later with a touch of a button), very good Find & Replace (normal and extended versions - extended has support for PERL compatbile regular expressions and can perform search in a bunch of files with detailed report), smart right-click tag editing, "Tag Designers" for almost all HTML tags, very sophisticated "Beauty Scripts" and much much more. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that HTML Beauty is the first HTML editor in the world with support for WBMP image files (used by WAP mobile phones). Anyway, for a complete list of features take a look at the HTML Beauty's web site...

OpticBurn, to answer your question if I wrote it - Yes, I'm the author of MAX's HTML Beauty++ ME!

DL, what didn't you like about HTML Beauty's color coding? As I've said a couple of times before, I'm open for suggestions...

I tried HomeSite once , but after that first time I never used it. MAX's HTML Beauty++ is *much* better, IMHO! I've also tried alot of other editors (for example 1st Page 2000) but MAX's HTML Beauty++ is still THE BEST for me...

But then again, the taste varies...

I'm hangin' with MAX's HTML Beauty, too...
Features:
1. color-coding
2. browser-preview
3. IDE environment
4. expandable

and most importantly;

5. It's got a picture of Lisa Boyle on it
:-)

Just a small addition - besides Lisa Boyle, currently there's also an image set featuring Kelly Brook and another featuring Carmen Electra...
