Hey, any of u guys ever used BackOrifice 2k? It was originally launched among the hacking community and instantly became a craze. Now it calls itself *the* most powerful remote admin client for the Win platform, bar none. Back at school last year we had a great time using it to remotely restart other's pc's and do lots of other stuff!

I've never used it myself though, only seen others do it. It uses the IP address of the remote machine to control that machine. What I'd like to know is, how do I get hold of that machine after I reconnect to the net? (Because I suppose the IP changes everytime u connect?) I could never really try it out coz i could never find any working machines that had the BO2k server installed.

could anyone give me a better insight into this?

edit by admin skaarjj: Sorry dude...had to remove the link. It's like linking to warez...it's not nice. We could get the Doc in trouble.

Hmmm...don't know if I should be telling you this...you need to use a proggy called a port scanner. Sub7 has a built in one, and so should BackOrifice. It'll search ip addresses and ports.

Computer Senility. I had a friend once who had it. His name was Gilbert, but he prefered it if people called him 'Ramases Niblick the third...Kerplunk, Kerplunk, Whoops! Wheres my thribble?'... - Kryton, Red Dwarf.

you'll need a trojan to make these things work!
and that's the difficult part. (installing the trojan on the remote machine)

Yep, they tend to tear all right! Had to use an airplane's inner tube the last time I tried that

Sub7 also has a nice function that will email or icq you the victim's IP addy every time they sign on. I haven't gotten the email one to work yet.

Ok...a little off topic but speaking of programs and fun stuff......

I remember the first time a friend of mine sent me the coke thing that was going around. I freaked when my CD drawer kept opening and closing and beating on the desk door my tower was in.

WoW those were the days.

If you're smart, you can use ICQ to find anyone's ip with good ole' netstat. But then again, we really don't need anymore skript kiddiez around. And if you think you are otherwise....you're asking how to use windoze to hax0r with BO.

Thanks for the laugh, however. That one liner on BO really cracked me up.
