Well, usually I drag my feet before installing [insert new! software package here], but my Mac at work is a new dual processor machine, and the hacked and modified version of OS9.0x in Swedish has been an utter nightmare, crashing, freezing, repeat, etc... (Plus I prefer english OS, thank you!) So, just a few minutes ago I got my shiny new OSX package, and now I'm installing OS9.1 first. (My paid for and legal copy of OS9.04 wouldn't boot on this new machine, agghh!!!) I'll tweak the OS9.1 back to what it should look like (in english, this time, woo!) and report my impressions of OSX as I discover them. |

No, this is not the Beta but the first official release! To be honest, it's almost *too* pretty with too many controls to manipulate the look and feel, confusing. All I was after in this first round was to get it up and running programs, which it appears I have done. For my work machine I may continue working in OS9.1 world, I don't know if I can invest the time and patience needed to learn this bad oy properly there. I'll try an install on my home machine this weekend and see how the server features work out, more as it happens! |

I love OSX. And that's all I have to offer to this conversation. |
