I will always refer to this problem as "the nosepilot syndrome", in whatever form it uses when it rears it's ugly head. FWIW, I got a notice three days into my dreamhost service (after I moved to their newest tracking server), and it warned me of possible bandwidth overages. Three days in! Good for them, but I bitched and got a bigger bandwidth allocation, heh. Bandwidth will always need to payed for somewhere, by somebody, but the GiSol people are so far out of line it's ain't funny.

You know, I could see a giant opportunity here for whoever it is that comes to Nosepilot's rescue.

Man, I hope people stay away from them by the thousands...

Man, nosepilot does something like 10 times my bandwidth when he's running full tilt, that's kind of scary, and not anything to enter into lightly. I'd want a couple of under-utilized T3's handy before I'd take that one on, it really would be a huge burden.

Wow, never read that before. But one thing got me thinking. Why did a Web Hoasting company have a Legal Section??? Guess that answers obvious now though....

I hate those kind of things. Similar things happen here in Australia but often it's caused buy overseas companies and our flawed legal system. X Company mail's out thses letters saying you've won all this stiff and all you have to do is send the x ammount of money to register with 'insert radom convincing bullshit here' before they will send you the prize. But there never is a prize, and even if you have the phyical documentation proving that you are entitled to x prize You can't do shit. This is because the company responsible is overseas which instantly ups any legal costs (internation law bites big time) which no one is ever willing to pay and a whole heap of other international legal crap blah blah blah.... I HATE IT!
