A friend of mine showed me Docs site some years ago and I liked it a lot. So I came back every now and then and one day there was the asylum. Now I've been lurking for some months and I can tell you that I really love this place. There were some conflicts lately but I think it is a great community. I would be happy to contribute, but I think there is more for me to learn than to give. I'm not really in the business of web design. I'm more in the content itself. But perhaps I could give you my humble opinion whenever it is not needed...

And VP: I know, I should not ask, but... Would you lend me your mop??? Just ONCE! Just a second. Pleeeaaasee.... And I promise, I will give it back! And I will be very careful!

Jeni, what I meant is: In fact I'm a technical writer that went into web business. I'm responsible for the contents of my company's internet and intranet site, which means - simplified - I write the text and build the site structure. The layout comes from our headquater and I have to use it. If I need some graphics, well, I do the easier ones, but I'm happy we do have some designers. Sometimes I try some Javascript. Was that, what you were asking for?

And yes, I probably know this place. Or perhaps it's more the feeling that I know it. As many said before: Being here is different from just lurking.

Hi MissTerry! Welcome, welcome, glad to have you here. I followed the earlier philosophy thread, seems like you made the right decision, met with my "personal philosophy seal of approval?"! (Read the other thread, I describe.) Also glad you made the decision to de-cloak here in the forum, we need all viewpoints here, not just graphics and code! I've been very involved in the business of content myself these last few months, which from a *design* perspective is kid of ironic, I *hate* designing blocks of text, not my forté at all. Still, I like to write, and recognize te whole point of these systems we design is usually to share some form of content, why shouldn't someone who creates it for a living fit right in here? Glad to have you.
