is it just me who uses Notepad for styles and scripts and sometimes for the html it self?
this notepad is my best friend.
Hava note? Notepad.
Havan idea? notepad.
Bored? scribble in Notepad.
Store text without using clipborad? notepad.
get the tags out of the copied text? notepad.

pico is nice too. But I've only ever used it in a unix text only environment and the lack of a mouse pointer drops it a few points.

With all the added hostility here I don't mean to step on anyones toes, but why do those who write there HTML in Notepad generally feel that they need to let everyone know as though there code was infitely better? It's very rare on the net do you see people bragging about there Dreamweaver or Frontpage 2000 they have running.

Heh, Jestah, that's because when you use notepad you put a whole lot more work into it, and it makes you feel so *good* knowing you did it all yourself. =)

I must say, though, I don't like notepad. I need an editor with a few more features than that - i mean, you can't even use ctrl+s to save, it annoys the heck out of me. I usually use editpad or something.

Am I missing hostility? I've seen a couple of references but haven't seen the actual hostility, oh well, I've missed better things...

I just DLed EditPlus and I like it muchly.

Its like Notepad on steroids.

yeah.. MS notepad is still the best editor. I mean, what do you use to "view source" other than the popular MS notepad....

Rick, I use MAX's HTML Beauty++ ME as a "view source" editor...
