Get TDK telo cd... crash proof, no buffer underuns. Fast. It will run you about 250 bucks. |

I've used the HP 8200 external USB before. IT works really well, it would burn 650 MB in less than 30 minutes (don't remeber how much less). I was really pleased with that since my previous external experience was with a parallel port model, that truly sucked. |

I got a creative cd-rw for about $150 and now it should go for less. It's a decent burner and I've had no problems with it at all. The one I have is the 8x4x32 so it's not the fastest on the market anymore, but I can burn a 700 MB cd (without doing a speed test etc.) in about 7 - 10 minutes. Also, at 32x for regular CD-ROM operation, CD-RW's aren't exactly slow either. |
