Preserved Topic: How do you... (Page 1 of 1)

I have seen this effect done in comic books and on This Site.

Can some one tell me how it's done?

I am refering to the way the gradient fills into one another with a sort of circular pattern fade. (The Yellow into Orange, and Black into Purple) Almost Escher-esque..

If someone could help me (tell me) how to reproduce this effect, I will give you my first born.
