Preserved Topic: I still don't know how this happened... (Page 1 of 1)

this morning I had an excellent start of my week. I inspected a mustang at work (schimmer ford) as I usually do. I parked it on the lot, all normal. I remembered to lock the door, all normal. I slammed my S typing finger in the door, and it nicely latched. So I had to open up the lock box and get the key out, unlock the door, then pull my finger out. It was smashed to all hell and squirting blood an impressive distance. I was completely embarrassed about it, so I coved up my profusely bleeding finger in my shirt as I went back in the garage. I wrapped my finger in a *clean* shop towel as it continued to bleed. I began to realize I had to tell somebody as I started feeling dizzy and almost passed out. I told everyone, even my parents that I did it turning wrenches, not slamming my finger in the door So I had to post here so everyone can make fun of me, and get feel better about my lie (I try not to do it much) oh btw, I broke my finger and cut my blood pressure way too low, they where wheeling me around in a wheel chair in the hospital heh.

OK.. I'll be glad to help in the making fun department. Let's start it off with:

Time for some new tape on those glasses ay? Aww.. it's OK, get yourself a nice shiny new pocket protector or something..make ya feel better. Does the sight of blood always make you dizzy.. or just when it's yours?

accually I was hoping I wouldn't have to say anything about the finger crushing, I just lost too much blood, my body couldn't take it, it took about a hour for the numbness to go away and the real pain to set it. Think I should call off tomorrow?
OH, I don't need a pocket protector too look like a nerd, and I might have to look into some eye glasses now that you mention it, thanks for making fun of me guys!

I hate that crap. Friends send me videos of soccer players and skateboarders breaking limbs cuz they know I'll sit uneasy for at least an hour. Even a good finger squishin' is making me squirmy. Feels better to talk about it though... whew, getting better al the time, breathing deep. I feel much better now. Oh yeah, you actually got hurt, not me... now I feel bad again. Sorry.

I feel your pain, Gix. The same thing happened to me when I was about 6. except, it was a 57 Plymouth station wagon, and my sister closed the door.

At least at 6, I was smart enough not to...well, nevermind.
