YEAH!! i finaly got a new mobile phone! its so cute its an ericsson t29s and yeah just thought i'd say its a cool phone!!

I'm going out on a limb here ...... hoping this doesn't sound crazy but......

When you get a cell phone here.....it's free with your service. Sometimes they charge a penny. I'm talking about some high end phones...so just wondering why you must pay so much for a cell phone. The only thing extra anyone here buys is the $15.00 face/front cover for them to make them look cool. I have seen people buy a really high end phone for like $200.00 but it's rare.

Am I confused? It's cool if I am....it's happened before

hrmm.. i gotta disagree, my ericsson has WAY better reception than all the nokia's i've used, 3210, 3310, 3330, 3210, 8250 etc nokia's not where its at, nokia are losing thier marked dominance

Nevex, IMHO Ericsson mobile phones have much much better reception than Nokia's. Besides Siemens, I also have a little older Ericsson T18s and it can beat the crap out of other mobile phones as far as reception goes...

Shiiizzzam, in my country mobile operators don't give you mobile phone when you subscribe to their service, you have to buy your own...

Maruman, if you're talking about Australian dollars, then the price is more or less correct. On the other hand if you're talking about USD, then it's much cheaper...

Self-Mutilation: The Fun and Easy Way To Prove You're Stupid

I used to have one of the T28's from Ericsson, but that little stubby antenna bugged me, it would always get caught on something, my jacket pocket got all ripped up. Also, the screen was *way* too small for anything interesting! I've been using one of the teeny little Nokia 8210's for about a year now, and while yes, it's tiny, the overall quality kind of sucks IMHO. I expect my phone to tolerate a bit of "banging around" in my bag, but this phone is nothing more than a bunch of rattles and clicks anymore, and the screen is starting to flicker, I hate it. I've been considering getting a new phone for some time now, but haven't yet decided which. I think I want all of that nifty stuff that the Siemens SL45 has, but maybe tri-band would be worth it for me? It'd be nice to visit the states.

BTW, I know you can get free phones, or phones for a penny, when buying a contract with somebody, but they always offer the cheap, yucky phones. The really cool ones cost, heh.

hey doc, thats true, the 8210 range are less than good IMHO, the t28s wasent that great eaither, but it looks damn good

the t29s(minus the stub arial) is actually smaller than an 8210

I don't have a cell phone... I don't want a cell phone... but sometimes I worry that I may need a cell phone for long distance travelling... in case my car breaks down or something... But I really really hate seeing people using their phones while driving. In fact, yesterday, I was behind an ambulance and a guy in another car who happened to be on his cell phone. We came upon a green light and the guy started to go through it, but was so busy talking on his phone, he failed to notice the left lane for turning left, and he suddenly came to a stop as he tried to turn left... didn't bother signalling or anything, just stopped in the middle of the intersection. The ambulance almost hit him... I heard their tires squeal as they braked hard. I had to hit the brakes hard to avoid hitting the ambulance, and then the guy just casually turns left across incoming traffic who are all honking at him because he just cut them off... still on his phone. I kinda wish that ambulance HAD hit him.
