hey yo. how time passes, incredible! today is the day when i have been 1 year in this cell. time to get some fresh air.
however, when i joined this community one year ago everything looked a bit different from now. we had about 500 registered members. the most active people were some who havent shown up here for a long time. i miss them (i dont want to list names cause i would forget some, surely - sorry). i miss them cause they have really been very talented and helped me really lot. i got much experience in PS and scripting just from the inmates around here. thank you guys.
also the style of posting was a bit different. there werent so many posts like 'uuuh, look at that pic i found' and then dozens of replies like 'hey cool, you rock'. back then it was more problem-help orientated. people only replied when they really could help the other out a lot. i think this is called redundancy, isnt it? it was a real 'discussion' board - not so much senseless topics IMO (-yes, i know, this one is senseless too). this shouldnt be misunderstood! i also like it like it is now! i enjoy this place.

once again i want to say thanks to all the people who supported me in that year! (i wont list names, cause i would forget the one or the other)

yeah I hear ya Grumble. I joined this year but I learn shit load just by being here. I like this place and I am staying. I just wish someone would hook me up with more pills...

Wow, you *are* old, eh? :-) A lot happens in a year, if 'dog years' are 7 years long, internet years must be at least that long, don't you think? By that calculation, I've been in the internet biz for nearly 50 years now! Sounds about right.

The asylum has changed quite a bit since then, and will continue to morph into things different than it is now, but that is only proper methinks. While some of our earlier members have moved on to other things, some of our newer members truly rock, and overall we remain a pretty special and unique place.

One thing about getting old, it may suck, but you don't *really* want it to stop, the alternatíve is even less pleasant!
