Is Asylum getting little slow.. what happened to all the people that were here when I came in? It seemed to me like it was a "designers place" before and now for some reason it doesn't feel like it anymore

I was thinking that too lately. The amount of people posting per day seems to have gone down.

well, I remember the Doc saying the winter holidays were the usual slow time for all his sites... so maybe it's that and it will start to pick up againg, once February starts...

I ate most of em... sorry about that.

I have noticed a bit of a lull too...Its just part of the ebb and flow of a community. I would guess that there is a large ammount who are mostly reading and not posting because sometimes you just dont have anything to say.

Not odd at all.

It happens quite often here actually - we get an influx of people who have no interest in actually contributing anything or learning anything...they just wanna show off their leet skillz? and talk shit. They sap the life from the people who actually do contribute, and then (with any luck) they go away.

This leaves a lot of people with a temporary lack of interest, and an additional lull due to the shit heads going away.


It's a repeating cycle here....several times a year.

i'm here because i want to learn somthing!!!

But sometimes i don't want to write anything because

1.) i'm afraid that somebody would lough at me 'cause i have so silly and simple questions

2.) or i am not interested

3.) or there's a topic i don't know anything about it

I don't think it was better. He's just saying that it gets slow this time of the year. That's all.

Actually it was better.....I miss some of the personalities such as mikey, twitch, etc. They're irreplaceable.

Massacre - certainly not aimed at you. Just 'in general'

People who are here to learn, and to share, and who are willing to accept criticism of their work, and to offer worthwhile advice are always a good thing.

People who are here to rack up a high post count and who are opposed to working hard to achieve quality results of their own are a complete waste of time on the other hand.

Yes, in many ways it was better in the past. But there is still a good solid core of people and Ozonic influence here. It has much to offer.

Yup, DL seems to have hit the nail squarely on the head.

I think the last big influx/lull happened a little while after I first came here.

As well as other factors. Personally, I just started a new job so I've been a bit sporadic in my visits but I always come back and so do alot of the other core members.

Just weather the storm.

By the way, anyone seen twitch? I kinda miss the witticisms.
