I was referring to the GurusNetwork.com site. If you haven't checked it out, it's a collaborative site started and maintained by the people here. Tutorials, forums, ideas, hints and tricks.

Click on the logo on the bottom of any page here. It's truly getting some serious traffic now.

well for my .02

I cant say that cross forum linking would benifit the asylum in any way. SL is cool and there are plenty of great designers there but I think this would be a bad thing as a whole. Gurusnetwork..thats another story. I think those two would go well together. Maybe get some more tutorial contributors help build the network.

I much prefer Guru's. I look around at other tutorial sites and do, from time to time, grab one or two but whenever
I get stumped on something it's over to GN or right here with Doc's Hands-On. The two best places out there.<imho>

I don't really understand the idea of hosting your own images. Sure, it's great for SL, but if you have direct linking might as well have your own tutorial pages. So I guess it's good for exposure or something, but that's about it. Might as well use it as a marketing tool to sell yourself and your services. Even then, the majority of people that read their tutorials aren't exactly people looking for such things (l33+ kiddies or something with allowance as only source of income).

That's my take.

leet kiddies....buncha half ass morons who run all over the web with their cheap hacks and eye-candy filter regurgitations and think they're hackers becuase they saw the movie....

make a little more sense?

oh, right, and of course....'leet' meaning 'elite' which they are obviously far from being generally.

As far as the site?

eh.
