Thanks a lot Doc, but I'm actually working on it, it's in spanish, but i have a lot of PHP things going on there and I'm a newbbie on PHP, so, it's not finished, I hope to finish it this week, and it's going to have some spanish users on it already! so, visits will be assured! (at least, few visitors!)
Of course, the link to azylum it's already there!

BTW, the site is some post-graphic art stuff, so, a mini PHP forum is making a mess of mi life. I have some good help from different users (From Azylum and Spanish Forums).

Anyone going to make a graph? If we are now at position 38 then that is quite a big jump (from around position 150) - it looks like the google bomb page got indexed and then it indexed all your pages.

Wakkos: The number of visitors doesn't count but the quality and quantity of the sites linking to yours does (I hope BSS takes that on board as he gained visitors from people checking him out but lost a lot of good quality links!!). As the Doc says he ranks highly (here and at Ozones) and so get in the asylum ring if you aren't already, add a link to your site in your sig and perhaps the Doc would put up a mad_scientists.html page at Ozones which links through to here (and the other thread) as well as those people linking in.

I susupect the next phase will be more of a hard slog as we creep up the rankings - we'll wait and see.

Doc, I also think that your changing of the title tag brought us here. I would suggest adding the alt tag to the logo, Google likes those a lot.

To answer your question, cyoung, no. Google links directly (we are talking about the free ones here of course), and does not track the click-throughs. Yahoo, for example, tracks the click-throughs and may rank the sites higher based on the clicking rate.

I'm using the google bar and I think it uses the page rank system constantly. I wonder if I can switch that off...

Nup. Nothing on page 4 for me, only page 15. Poo!

It happened to me a couple of times. For example, I was first on one search, then I wasn't there, then I showed up first again . . .
That's why I said "some people may see different results at the moment" in my first post.
Sometimes it takes time to update their information. Similar to DNS changes.
The fact that we were on the 4th place tells me, we will be there soon.

All this is just my humble experience, but like Doc said, we will definitely learn something out of this

Very odd, I saw it in page 4 too. Perhaps it was in the middle of re-spidering some pages and once everything got hit again it pushed the asylum back...who knows. Strange things.

Hmm... now that's interesting. When Sash first posted this I checked and we were, indeed, on page 4. Now that I check again, though, we're on page 15. That would lead me to believe that this is not an updating problem (unless we're being updated back down), but just plain weird results. I have no idea how these things work, so I wouldn't know where to begin...

like "Asylum" or "Psychotic"

Hey, if we look at the single word "Asylum" we're third listed on page #3! Maybe we should give a shot at taking that spot over? It seems to me we might have a chance to get into the top 10, and from there, the sky's the limit! (or something...)
