I won my second contest with this photo today and I'm really proud of it and wanted to share it here with ya'll.

I took up photography as just a hobby about 3 months or so ago and really still learning.
To win up against the seasoned photographers at 2 sites and already receiving emails asking to buy some prints of my work is amazing to me.

Some really good photos at that link and on your site, well done and keep it up

cute... the background is so close to the furry thing and its shell that it'd be interesting to see it with either a lot more detail in the background or blur it out completely with a larger aperature setting. the lighting is pretty uninteresting and there's something about the composition that feels unbalanced in a bad way.

the second one looks like you took one of sally mann's photos, added over-the-top text, then coated the entire piece with texture in photoshop.

that bestfoto site is about as righteous as all those "best of the web" sites... you should try checking out the forums at photo.net for some work and write-ups.
