hmmm it's kinda difficult to find your problem. Did you
ever changed the memories? If not give it a try and
take any other RAMS.
Did you installed any kind of software before you
get this error? What's your current system now?

Ok...we see

Dunno if the RAM can 'get old' but is not an old computer, has arund 1 year.

I'm using Win XP and the only change was from win millenium to XP.
Not a grat SVAG card, just have a HD, the Vieo Card, one 256 SIMM (or dimm? never knew the difference) and that's it!!

Try stripping your system down to it's bare components (RAM, HD, Graphics Card) and see if it works...if it still doesn't work, try changing out the RAM. If that still doesn't work....throw the software in the garbage...followed by your computer...

Just kidding with the trashing part...

Seriously, it sounds like a hardware problem...and things do break...it's an imperfect world.

Sorry to hear about it..hope you can fix it relatively easily...and inexpensively..

this happened with me many different times when

1) i installed new WinNT based OS
2) i add new hardware (not from windows)
3) critical causes! => try pressing F8 and choose Boot on last known good configuration
4) a software or a nasty driver

if you can tell us the error code that is being displayed...i.e: IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL , UNHANDLED_EXCEPTION, ....

lallous, there's nothing to identify the error, just that:
A blue screen with white color font in the top left corner that says:

Hardware error
Call your vendor hardware support
The system has been halted

And I've notice those days that this happens more when i'm surfing or something related with bit-transfer.
I can be hours playing fifa, or the sims and nothing happens, but when I go to internet, kaboom, blue screen.
I made a file scan with inoculate antivirus, here's the report:

That's a possibility Izzay!

Crashed again, I'll wait to the monday to buy a new fan, I think that this could be the problem, since once i had a similar problem with a PIII, crashed without sense, and the fan was damaged, this seems to be allright, but the fans get old too, so, I'll give it a try from the cheapest side!! hehehe

Wakkos, before trusting the validity of the error as being a "hardware" issue I would uninstall any programs installed since the error started occuring. If that dosent work run system restore to a point prior to the occurance of the error. If that dosent work, disable all TSR programs one by one to see if one of them is causing the error, (dosent XP have an error log that tells you exactly what program caused an error?) If that dosent work, backup everything you want to keep, format and reinstall. If that dosent work you will have eliminated software as a possible cause...Now focus on hardware. Hardware usually dosent just change, software issues are far more common.

Troubleshooting hardware before software may cost you a bit more in the end. And if you have to crack the case remember ESD is not your friend, use a grounding strap...I even have an ESD Haiku.
