Preserved Topic: Removing bitrate limitations for Kazaa (Page 1 of 1)

Anyone else bummed about the 128K limitation on Kazaa? Here's how to remove it...

1. Run regedit (Click start > Go to Run > type "regedit")
2. Do a search (Ctrl + f) for "limitbitrate"
3. Once found, double-click on limitbitrate
4. Change the Value Set from 1 to 0

Voila!

Why not use Winmx? Speed is much faster and you don't have to deal with the adware stuff.

I've never had the kind of luck with WinMX that I have had with Kazaa. I know its full of adware, but hey, nothing's free.

If you put up with going through the trouble of finding your own servers, get a good FTP program like smart FTP

I'm sure we've all heard about this before (start reading at about paragraph 5 for the kazaa part). But have we forgotten already?

I've also heard that KaZaa screws with your IE settings, can anyone confirm this?
