I just installed another hard drive and would like to get the emails from my old outlook.

It is set up with the old hard drive as the slave drive.

So. . . where are the emails stored? I have did a google search and found nothing. I know they are *eml, but where are these stored. Doing a search on the hard drive finds nothing, so I am guessing that they are stored in a file somewhere, but I have no idea where.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I exported the address book, but as for the emails, I can't find anything. It want's to export them to Outlook which I don't have, I have Outlook Express.

I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks.

do NOT do it manually. (by copying the file and pasting it where it *should* go) It will screw your system over. Alas... i hate... grrr... nevermind.

locate your old *.dbx files!!
usually they are stored deep inside the windows folder ...

once located , copy them into another folder and point to them from the Outlook/settings/maintenance/store folder ...

good luck,

hehe, stupid me. I was looking in the wrong file. A while back I had setup a "profile" and actually forgot about it. My emails were in a directory that I was looking in.

Anyway, I found them. They are stored in your Application Data folder.

Thanks.
