Interesting as that was, I found it pretty funny that they claimed to have pictures of the Milky Way and the Solar System from far outside of it. At least they didn't claim to have actual pictures of electrons and such =)

Where did you see them claiming to have actual pictures? I didn't see anything like that, only something that admits their photographers and artists had to make some concessions.

Oh, well, I hadn't read any of the text on the page, so that's my bad. Nonetheless, you'll find a number of things like astronomy text books with pictures of galaxys, claiming that they're the milky way. Quite silly.

You couldn't even say that Ollson...we have no idea what the milky way looks like form the outside, so they could grab any piocture of a spiral galaxy and call it hte milky way, and most of the populace would be none the wiser.

No, krets, that's only a candy bar that *looks* like it might be the milky way. The real thing may actually be quite different. That's in actuality probably a snickers or nestle crunch bar. As I said, we have no means of getting a real picture of a milky way bar.

WOW Krets: Great link. I saw the movie "Powers of 10" many years ago at the Smithsonian Institute. I'm glad someone finally put this on the web.
