Just going through my bookmarks. Oldhat to some, new to others. Think about it; "Nearly all the images were done in a resolution of 320x256 pixles with 32 colors out of a palette of 4096." "This was done on a superfast 12Mhz 286!!!

Go to "Scene" then "Oldschool Gallery"

Well, this definately stretches the idea of 'quality' pixel art, but I found this interesting. Maybe it's just me. I like japanese things. http://www.tententen.com

This guy is very good though. I'm amazed.

Whoopsie.. That's tententen.net
Keep an open mind if you visit this one. In comparison, it's not as realistic, but it's creative.

PS, you may want japanese text support. It's not required. The site is eng/jap. It's impossible to manually turn on japanese text within the popup window anyways -- at least for me. enjoy.

When I was in the 3rd grade we had the first wave of apple computers at school. Our school was like the guinea pig or something. One kid was really good at programming already and made a paint program -- all in DOS. You could move up/dn/left/right with the number pad if you were lucky enough to have one. <g> Pressing [5] I think randomly changed the color of your cursor. there was no pen-up or pen-down function.. You just dragged your blinking blockie around with the numbers. Blah. That was my first experience. Second, I was another guinea pig to test the first wave of PCs. About 12 other kids and myself doodled around in MSPAINT. We all thought it was amazing. I like PS better, that that was many years later.

Are we compulsive yet?
