Just wanted to stop in and say hi. How's everyone doing? Just wondering if any of the old regulars still frequent these parts. Not sure if anyone even remembers me, but I used to be a pretty active member here about 6 months ago. Anyway, life's going good at the moment, just busy all the time. I'm heading off to MIT in a few weeks, and I'm sure I'll be even more busy there. Never really got a change to thank all of you for all the help you gave me. You taught me so much, yet never asked for anything in return. So now, I'd like to give you a sincere thank you. Although I probably won't ever work in web design, your selfless attitudes will inspire me as I pass into the future. I hate to say it, but I think this thread is probably the last time you will hear from me. To Doc, Darkgarden, twitch, (if those two are still around), Bug, DL, Slime, Vogon, eye, krets, db, wj, and all the rest, thanks and good luck in the future and beyond.

Haha, Skaarjj, it's Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a very well known and highly respected intstitute. Think "extremely smart people." The W3C has at least a few members who work there.

Good luck mbridge. That's really pretty impressive. I probably wouldn't be able to get in if I tried.

Just because you`ve gotten all mensa-compatible doesnt mean you can`t stop in and say Hi every now and then. Ya gotta take some *me* time.

Stay in touch if ya can. I think they have the internet there, too.

If mbridge isn't coming back does that mean we need a new admin for 'site reviews'?

Thanks for all the encouraging words. It's not so much that I am unable to stop in, it's just that my priorities in life have changed. I would rather go out and live my life than stay inside holed up on a computer. When I have free time, which is not very often, other interests have taken my attention. I no longer have the time I once had to spend an hour or two a day at the Asylum. Ironically, why I spent so much time here has become much more clear to me in reading this thread. Despite my original comments, I'll try to make it by from time to time just to see how things are going.

dl: that's exactly what I would have said a year ago, before I ever visited the school. As doubtful as it may seem, I am not a nerd in the least. I almost didn't visit mit because of that stereotype. Upon arriving at the school, I met quite a few interesting, creative, and fun people. Not nerdy in the least. Changed my mind completely about the school. Perhaps "nerds at heart" is a better description. And anyway, there are are what......60 colleges in Boston? It's not like I have to party with MIT people.
