?God damn bloody 13 year olds with anally retentive hand eye coordination!? I muttered?
?Who needs that when I can come here and?? trailing off I paused to absorb my surroundings.

Limestone floors slicked with some sort of slime and walls covered with quilted padding long gone mouldy from the sea air. A small cell with a single bared door complimented by a single bared window on the opposite wall. It?s perfectly square, as long as it is wide, as wide as it is high. Hanging from the ceiling is a solitary light bulb. It hasn?t worked in years and when it rains water runs down the cord and spirals around the bulbous light as it falls to the floor. It?s a good thing it never gets dark here or one day I may have to succeed in finding a switch for it. The cell is lit by an orange glow from the burnt post apocalyptic sky that spills in through the window. There?s a naked Spaniard standing at my door.

?There?s a naked Spaniard standing at my door,? I say to my self?

All is fine; all is, as I should expect it to be. This is my sanctuary. This is the place where I can get lost inside my own pocket -- a playground of traditions and games. One of my favourites would be, ?pin the tale on the muse?. The prizes may seem trivial but they are quite rewarding at times.

But that?s not really why I?m here. I?m here to be one of them. They have many faces and go by many names but I call them sculptors. Sculpture?s such a fascinating from of art isn?t it? It has a physical shape and form, it has meaning, sometimes it has story and it?s quite often aesthetically pleasing?

Is that what that smell is? Sea air? And I guess that would explain the gull droppings...

[Edit: Oh, Drac, you might want to fix a few of those links... some of them have extra spaces in them.]

Done!

Bare with me on this, it's gonna take a while to string togther. It'll take up 5 messages boards on a whole! Just trying out an idea I've had for a while.

Enjoy.

Ok, all should be done now. This was harder than I first thought. So much editing and cross referencing. It's not wery well written but I'm keen to see weather the idea works. I hope it works... hah!

Well, my part is done now. The fate of my idea is now up to the inmates. Oh dear, what am I saying! What have I done!

OK, um, I've got to be honest with you here... the whole thing has me rather confused. You appear to have annoyed the people over at DA (one guy even threatened to close down the thread... what kind of place is that, anyway?). Fortunately, the inmates here are a bit more tolerant.

So, like I said, I'm confused. I followed all five threads, and I kind of think I sort of maybe have a tiny sliver of an idea as to what you're talking about, but I'm not sure what you want us to do with the baton. I don't actually belong to any of those other forums, and would only be comfortable posting my garbage here anyway. So maybe someone else will pick this up and run with it. And the further away they run with it, the better.

Oh, and don't take this as an insult, but holy overblown diction, Batman. That's not a cheap shot--I know you put your heart out there on your sleeve, but the diction made it a bit difficult to follow at times. It did occur to me, of course, that that was the idea...

Dracusis: Looks like you've spread a wake of confusion behind you - good show. Its always interesting to see someone push the envelope and play with things in different ways - in this case some sort of non-linear linear narrative

Next time really go to town - lets be honest there have been whole newsgroups dedicated to spreading confusion and stupidity (alt.alt.alt.alt.alt?) so there are always new ways to subvert the medium.

Hah, I was expecting that from DA.

In part each section is kinda about how I see that commnity. The section in DA is the worst one though cause I was trying to justify my interaction there. Sadly it's most of my DA experiences can be equated to a big bunch of hot air. Yet I thought saying that might have gotten an even worse response. So I tried to justify it and well, failed quite badly. Arr well. Their loss. They'll probably losk it for sure now. Heh.

To be honest I don't expect anyone to continue it, but the discussion throughout each site is in a way continuing the story.

Basically this was (is?) about me sharing something and everyone else commenting on it. Good or bad it doesn't matter. I wanted to do it and well, it's done. It's almost the same as posting an image for a crit, but this time I've posted a small chunk of my activities on the internet at large. Anyway, I'm enjoying the show so far. How about you?

I wonder why it is that only this thread and the one at DA have drawn responses...

As for pushing the envelope... whatever floats your boat. Pull the envelope, twist it, tear it, rip it up into tiny little bits, throw it up in the air, and pretend you're having your own little tickertape parade.

After a second read, I have to admit that it makes a little more sense...

[Edit: Strangely enough, this is also the only thread people have been posting in on the Asylum for the past half hour or so (at least). Why do I feel strangely alone, like it's just me, Drac, and Emps in a little dinghy out in the middle of the ocean? God, what a scary thought.]

Bad news... went to the Doc today said he got worms. He got a pesticide rub on now... absorbs through the skin right quick but stays in the pear meat for quite a while.
Although we went to the Doc cuz he was feeling a bit bloated... if we toss him over the side he can float me thinks, and should be safe, even from the Vegan piranahas.

this should keep me reading a while. Does it have to be that the more people in a community, the worse it gets? DA I'm talking about here. This may end up as a really nice testimony to the good Doctor's beautifully controlled anarchy.

This is really clever and I like it a lot. Good show there Drac.

And Izzy? You been taking writing classes or narcotics lately?

I've read through it once now, but I not wuite sure what to think yet. I think I like it. Actually I'm pretty sure I like it in some way, only not sure which way I like it.

But great work anyway Drac
