Well, IMHO the best cd burning software is Nero Burning Rom, but unfortunately it isn't free... |

Nero is IMO the best software, but it's about $50 to purchase. There's an evaluation version that I believe is fully functional. I've never used any free CDRW burning software, but I think the Nero is worth the small price. |

Yep, I have been using my XP for burning CD's here lately. I haven't had any problems with it so far. |

cdrecord isn't that hard to use acctually. To use it you also need another program to make iso's, but if you allready have the iso it is only a couple of 'simple' commands to get it started Haven't tried it on a windows pc, but on Linux it works without problems. |

If the built-in features of XP dont work you can give Fireburner a try. I have always been pretty fond of this software. |

You're probably right Max All I know is that I haven't had any problems with it while running Linux. |
