I just upgraded to xp pro and all my bookmarks seem to have dissapeared (thx bill gates)


Anyway back to the subject, i just had a fixed line installed at home, i had a site bookmarked that you could test the speed of ya line, does anyone know where that site was, done a search on google and yahoo but got no results

here was my results from a 256 kb cable connection

Download Speed 109.87 KBits/sec 13.73 KBytes/sec
Upload Speed 84.94 KBits/sec 10.62 KBytes/sec

hmmm.... I got readings from 950kb=1.2mb

I guess that will do for now.

                                     

Using At@T Cable internet:

Hmmm....

Well, according to Bandwidth Place, my cable connection speed is 50.1 kbps. (!)

According to the MSN test, it is 531.9 kbps.

And according to not-country dependant alternative (tcp/IQ Line Speed Meter), my download speed is 373.33 kbps, while my upload speed is 426.73 kbps.

I think someone here is lying...

I'm not sure how accurate these things are but some of the numbers I get back are higher than my actual fastest theoretically possible speed so either I'm a lucky boy (which other evidence suggest isn't right) or these tests aren't great
