Ack! How can I live this way, what will I do? My internet went down Monday evening, and here it is Wednesday, still no internet. If we're lucky I'll be back online tomorrow, if not? ARRGHHhhhhh!!!!! Internet cafés are good things, but really, no substitute for the "real thing". (I'm trying to work on two different sites, both of which are half client/half server based code, so it's *really* hard to do my work, too! Life sucks with no internet.) |

I mean, is it possible to, right now, using some program, say: "Download the Internet" and get every single file and page etc onto your computer? I about what reitsma is saying, but is it possible to do it from a home computer with lots of disk space? |

Well, I know that I would be severely screwed if my connection went down. In fact, it has happened for brief periods of time in the past, and I was screwed until I got up and running again. Practically everything I do relies on the Internet... |

I'm back! Yes, now I re-enter the world of those who have not one, but *two* different braodband connections! (Why, you ask? Well, only one of them works right now, so that says it all.) It'll still be 4 more days before what used to be my primary connection (ADSL) is back, so we signed up for a cable internet connection, which took only 2.5 days, hooray! |
