Let's get one thing straight here...

There are no assholes like krets.

Only wannabees.

You've established your "you guys are assholes" viewpoint quite firmly in the course of several visits to this forum. Why in blue blazes do you keep coming back? You're simply too insecure and/or immature (regardless of your age) to take criticism. Why keep asking for it? You're an up-and-coming graphic design professional, you're a card-carrying member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, you've got a multi-billion-dollar client, why in heaven's name do you need our approval?

And clearly it's our approval you need, not our advice, because when we give you advice instead of approval, you without exception throw a temper tantrum.

Nobody actually gets banned from the Asylum; and we're always willing to let someone turn over a new leaf. But by now, we've seen both sides of your leaf, and they're identical. Turn it over again, and we know what we're going to see. I don't think you'll be retaining the benefit of the doubt for much longer.

Thunder...all it takes to be a NAPP member is 90 bucks.

It's a subscription to PS User mag and a few benefit deals that come with it. But hey..you get a card with it.

So I'm not sure if it's a laudible accomplishment whether being sarcastic or not

No, I don't need your approval or any Asylumites' approval. It's been a couple weeks since I've posted here last and I wanted to see if the general personality of this community has changed. It has not. You are all stuck in the mud. To say the least, you can't get over the past which is why past posts of mine are constantly brough up. What? You can't find anything new to dig up and showcase? Ah, it's so obvious to one with an objective viewpoint that the majority of the regulars here are obnoxiously stuck-up.

I'm not "coming back" as you put it. I've never left. I've said I've left, but I've visited every day every week to see what's new in this twisted world. What's new? Not much. Same old negativism. Same old cynicism. Same old blatantly rude behavior.

On that note, that's what's wrong with the U.S. Justice System. Have you ever heard the saying that "people like that never change" (referring to criminals and wrongdoers)? Guess why they never change: society and the system never give them a chance.

On second thought, you're right: I don't need your advice. Let me just tell you for further reference that this behavior of the "ideal asylumite" that you role-players assume will not work in business. Well, it can work and you can get to the top rather quick, but when you fall... it's going to hurt... a lot.

Have a nice day!

NAPP is a waste of money. I should have joined AIGA, GAG, or PRSA. The NAPP Team doesn't respond to their e-mails, their web site is full of flaws and errors, and their distribution is royally screwed. Hell, I even had to call to get a replacement card because the first card was ripped, was peeling, and was a bit crumpled. :

edit: Morgan got two posts before I finished writing this. I'm leaving the original text below for posterity, but my question is now, "why didn't you say that in the first place?" Oh, and "Why keep reading a forum you hate? I now offically consider you a troll."

Perhaps I was too subtle -- yes, the NAPP reference was sarcasm all the way down to the marrow. Unless it's a full-scale traditional union, something that generally exists only in blue-collar jobs; or a professional association with demanding certification tests, something that generally exists only in the classical "learned professions;" I have scant respect for it. In our line of work, the work is the measure of the man; little else.

However, for the sake of justice I must offer an apology to Morgan: your initial post in this particular thread had nothing of puffery about it, it's just that you've burned all your bridges repeatedly. Through simple human nature, we see only the worst in every sentence. So although it's probably too late for any particularly civil, if you'd like to discuss the pros and cons of NAPP membership, I'm game.

Although, I have no idea what you meant by most of your message, I'll just go with the last sentence about being game for discussion of NAPP.

First of all, what organization(s) have you been a member of? Secondly, NAPP... I wouldn't consider them organized. Professional? Maybe but the web site certainly is not. I e-mailed Felix Nelson, the Creative Director, and asked if his webmaster/web designer was taking a NAP because the site itself removed the P.

By the way, all the bridges leading to my reconciliation with OZONEAsylum regulars have been burned, destroyed, and disintegrated, yes, but there's still a few roads that lead out of here.

You have no idea what I meant? I think my question "Why keep reading a forum you hate?" was pretty clear.

There's no need for further stirring. You're all pretty twisted in the head anyway. The color scheme and the forum theme is getting to you.

We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

I would imagine that, as the Doc is loath to ban anyone, MR has hassled him into removing his account - a pointlessly dramatic gesture which uses up the time of a busy man who could spend his precious spare time doing more useful things (#hint# #hint#). Surely that is some kind of Bedouin curse "my your spare time be sucked up by idiots"??

If this thread ever had a point it certainly doesn't now. I'm going to close this thread and open the betting on how long it takes MR to come back (with a new account - or even better he could bother the Doc to dig out all his old files and reactivate the Morgan Ramsey one) wringing his in repentance and swearing blind he has learned his lesson this time.

I'll take 6 weeks.
