OK so i go to ms to check for updates to win2k,

click on a security patch and service pack 3 for win2k....

no probs click on ok

then this shit happens.....big delay as it kicks in...no prob you would think...

but what did it do....

shut down my firewall to enable the download even though i had configured the firewall to allow this

surely that isnt f..g legal

It shouldnt be able to do that?.. should it?..
coudlnt that cause a whole lot of vunlreabiltys?

well it did on 3 separate patches....go figure

next my norton antivirus starts doing a full system scan on its own.....


anyone else ever had wierd shit happen???


btw just dropped a nice email off to m/soft with screen capture of my system log files, showing everything happening..

On the auto update security patch our server automatically DLed and installed it. Instead of waiting for me to tell it to install it. It caused our networ to crash and lock everyone in the office out of the storage drives. My PC at home hung while trying to DL it... it still hasn't been able to get it. I think they screwed up big time.
