Now that I am happy using Trillian. I thought I would uninstall msn messenger for good. I never liked the way it just loaded itself without my instruction and then would not allow me to quit it without going to Windows Task Manager and manually "Ending Task". So off I went to the "Control Panel" to Add/Remove Programs, and removed it. (I am running XP Home) |

Thanks for keeping an eye on my cell The more I think of it the more it reminds me of a spot (or perhaps zit is a better word) I just can't seem to stop picking at it !! |

Service pack 1 or not, typing this line (from that doc) at a command prompt always worked for me: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove |

Taobaybee: Maybe they don't allow direct linking to that file - try going here and click the [English] link at the top: |

Latest update.. ... . .. kuckus and butcher thanks for insisting that I try Raptors suggestion. I "overlooked" it 'cos I have this phobia about the C:/Prompt, but that is for another thread. |
