Can anyone recommend some good CD burning software for a windows PC that will allow you to use multiple burners simultaneously?

Thanx,

Nero Burning Rom has an checkbox "use multiple recorders".
So I think it will do the work...

just poking around Nero's webpage... "Nero Full Version includes support for four simultaneous recorders..."

my guess is that the full version is now what was bundled... probably a cheaper version.

I have Nero (full, borrowed from a friend), and Roxio CD-DVD Easy Creator basic version, that came along with my DVD burner. Although Nero is great, I prefer Roxio.

I'm new to ripping my CDs, but I'm running into an issue I can't figure out. It seems as though when I burn an actual copy of a CD (for use in my car, after losing about a dozen to a break-in), it works fine, but when I try to pull specific tracks, the MP3 cuts off the last second or so of the song. I can't find a setting (or at least haven't recognized the one doing it) for it that should be on or off but isn't. It's really frustrating. I'm not a stupid person in general, but this is stumping me.

Evil in theory, not so much in practice...

Use disc at session rather than track at session when burning. More safe from thos glitches.

Hmmm... I have no idea what that means, but I'll take a look for those terms in the CD-burning software when I get home.

Wangenstein, I have run into the same problem when ripping some _original_ CDs.
I rip them and most of the musics have a pop at the end of it, or something similar to a pop.
I was not able to find a cure to the problem and I am not a stupid person as well.

I noticed that this problem happens more when the music ends abruptly. If it ends with a long fade out, it won't happen (or it is also happening but the pop is a mute sound because near the end of the track there is only near mute sound).

This doesn't happen often. If it happens with a particular CD, it will always happen with that CD. If it doesn't happen with a particular CD, it will never happen with it. It's a CD-media related problem, IMO. Even ripping the whole CD at once, instead of one track at a time, is no solution. Using a different CD-reader is also no solution for me. Using a lower ripping speed is also no solution. It's a pain in the arse.

What I usually do is to edit the end of the music using Sound Forge.
Luckily for me, this is not usual to happen, as told.

EDIT: I was talking about the problem happening when ripping and you were talking about it, when burning. I have a workaround for your problem, but it's stupid and troublesome. Add some seconds of silence at the end of each music and you'll have no more pop. But you must add the silence in the mp3 file, not as a space between the musics. This happened to me only once, when burning a CD, in the last music. I added 10 seconds of silence to it, since it was the last track. It was a stupid solution, but it worked.

Wangestein - this page may explain it better thna me: http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_oversize.shtml

specifically this paragraph:
"Track At Once is a method of writing where the laser beam stops at the end of each track and then restarts. This can cause a glitch when playing audio CDs recorded in this way. Track-At-Once is generally used to create multisession and ISO CD's."

"Disc-at-Once is a method of writing in which one or more tracks are written in a single operation. The laser will not stop until the whole CD-R recording is finished and the CD-R is closed. Hence no Run blocks and no clicks between audio tracks."

That's interesting. But then, how do you rip individual tracks without errors? Doesn't disc-at-once mean you're making a copy of the entire disc, or does it simply read the entire disc when ripping the individual track(s)?

The program, if its smart and whenever your are making it from files, will make a virtual image of your disc to be burned first , then just burn everything at once, its does not pause between tracks (it does separate tracks, just that it does not make a pause after the track is written, if tahts what your wondering, so dont worry). What difference makes? With TaO you can add new tracks later, if space avaliable at disc was not finalized.
