I am currently designing a website for the March of Dimes Hawaii and I am using a menu that I say on dynamicdrive.com. I have used this menu before without problems but for some reason, I am not able to select the bottom link in the category.

I would troubleshoot it but guess what... Im an idiot and am diving into this kinda thing with no lifejacket. (ie I just figure out what I want it to do and try and replicate it.

Would anyone know what would cause that problem? I've compared my menucontent.js with the original and there are no differences.

help...... (im doing this site for free just so I can learn how to do it)

anyone wanna help? hehehe.... there are going to be some stuff in the site that I want to
do but am clueless.

thanks.

Could you show us a link to the site or something

What other problems do you have besides being unemployed, a moron and a dork?

I guess that would help.....

This is the current page. Notice that on the drop menus I had to put an extra tab to prevent it from
cutting off.

This is where I got the original script. http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/sm/index.htm

Can you tell us what all is supposed to be in the menu's. In the "Home" menu I see 5 slots but only 4 entries. Is this were you are having the trouble? Is there supposed to be something in the 5th slot of the menu?

menu.addSubItem("contact", "", "", "");
menu.addSubItem("home", "", "", "");
menu.addSubItem("about", "", "", "");
etc, etc...

There's a lot of these empty!
That's why nothing's in'em...

You should delete these parts.

Actualy I put the empty ones there because when they are not there, the menu closes when you try and go to the bottom selection. For example, try and move your mouse over the lowest entry. That's why those are like that. Believe me I would love to take out those awkward looking empty
slots.

Actualy a good example is on the page that says Program Services, Public Affairs...
when you move the mouse over the menu it closes without letting you select anything.

Um... er... why do you have like five body tags on that page? Code needs to be cleaned up.

OK, the problem here is with the detection of when the mouse is off of the menu. The code is using the widths and heights of the menus to determine that, but there's something about the menus that makes it think the menu is a little above and to the left of where it really is.

I'm at work now, I can look into this more later...

Hey, while the forum was down, I emailed the solution to info@wayoutwestenterprises.com, hopefully that's *your* email address. I'll post it here when I get home, but now I'm at work again! =)
