Hi,
I use Photoshop on a PC, and I noticed that when I use your tutorials that the features do not work as nice. I was doing the new glass tutorial and I applied a lens flare at 125 as you prescribed, but the flare was less bright and well defined than yours. Is this because it is not on a Mac? I tried increasing the strength to 127 but that just made it have more glare (as usual).
I also have been having problems using the Actions. They are tending to crash Photoshop more than working. I'm using version 4.0.1. I have worries that, since it started and continues to be popular primarily on Mac, they are scimping when they make it for us PCers.

Hmm, hard to say if they're scrimping or not, but most Adobe programs are developed first on the Mac, and then ported to the PC. I'm not sure about the variance in the LensFlare, that really shouldn't have happened, not really. Try this, select 'all', and THEN do the lens flare. The size of the flare is dependent on the selection, a bigger selection, a bigger flare. I've made some documents temporarily bigger just to get a different flare, and then cropped them down back to size. (Not on the glass example, though! Hmm..) FWIW, I'm working on my Macintosh G4 right now, but also running version 4.01, the new features on the 5+ versions are pretty minor in my book, and I haven't upgraded this machine yet.
-doc-

I do photoshop on both the PC and a mac G4, and the only difference that I've come across is the keyboard shortcuts.
I use a 21" monitor on the PIII box that I built, and the cinema 22" display on the G4, and they both behave and look comparably. I tend to prefer then interface of the Mac better though....my .02

Hmm...
I've worked on both and I have to say I prefer the 2-button control system.
------------------
