Hi folks<P>I updated to photoshop 5.5 recently. One thing that really
annoys me is that the program searches for watermarks
in every picture that is opend or scanned. Is it possible

The answer to your question is probably "no". The watermark is one of the only ways to really protect an artists work online. Apparently they can last through many recompressions of an image. IMHO this is a good thing. Think about it - wouldn't you want to protect your images in whatever way possible to keep people from making money on your work?<P>------------------

Although to be honest, Photoshop is *really* bad about detecting these things! Try it, I have. Take an image, maybe 300 pix x 150 pix and watermark it. Then chop a piece off of either end and make it a bit smaller. Watermark gone, usually. Disspointing.<P>-doc-
