I was working with one of the Photoshop textures Bumpy Leather.psd in the textures folder yesterday. |

Well - Something changed! Were you trying to select the original texture or the texture after you did "stuff" to it? More than one layer? Sometimes you lose track of which is the active layer and then unpredictable things happen. Did you check the options palette to see if the Wand tolerance changed? For what you are trying to do it should be low - around 10-15? If it's above the 32 default you'll get more than you want. It's frustrating to try to track down the variables, but if it worked before and it doesn't work now, something changed! |

That really does sound like you have inadvertantly changed layers and haven't realised it. If the layer is blank, then it will select the whole image. |

Honestly, I didn't change anything, but I checked and the tolerance was up at 255. Thanks for the help guys. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif"> |

That would do it! I'm all for peace, love and tolerance personally, but when it comes to Magic Wands, discrimination is what you need. |

Yeah! In my opinion, espessically when doing interfaces, your magic wand should be like Hitler (no offence meant to anyone0, it should be intolerant of anyone or anything different from what it is selecting! |
